Understand the requirements
Document the entities, users, reporting needs, transaction types, and operational constraints that should guide the setup. Identify vendor features and subscription requirements before deciding on a configuration.
02 / FINANCIAL SOFTWARE
A financial system is only useful when its structure matches your business. We help translate the way you invoice, collect, spend, and report into a practical software setup.
Discuss your projectSOUND FAMILIAR?
You are starting with financial software, outgrowing your current setup, or working around a system that was never configured for your business.
THE WORK, IN DETAIL
The final scope is tailored to your business.
Here is what an engagement can include.
Document the entities, users, reporting needs, transaction types, and operational constraints that should guide the setup. Identify vendor features and subscription requirements before deciding on a configuration.
Develop an agreed chart of accounts and relevant customer, supplier, item, or service structures. Keep reporting needs and day-to-day usability in balance.
Set up agreed invoicing, payment recording, expense tracking, permissions, and reporting preferences where the selected platform supports them.
Define the source data, date range, field mapping, and items excluded from the move. Preserve a source copy and agree on the cutover approach before importing.
Review imported record counts and key balances against the agreed source. Test representative workflows and document exceptions that need a decision.
Provide practical walkthroughs and handover notes for the agreed workflows. Any ongoing support arrangements are defined separately in the engagement.
A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE
A growing business wants to move away from disconnected spreadsheets. We would establish the account structure, define which historical data to bring across, test a sample import, and reconcile opening balances before the new workflow goes live.
Illustrative engagement, not a client case study.
A CLEAR HANDOVER
Make a list of the software you use, the reports you need, who needs access, and which records you want to keep. If you are moving platforms, identify where the original data lives and whether it can be exported.
LESS ADMIN. MORE POSSIBILITY.
Let’s talk about your books, your systems,
and what you’d like to work better.
