OUR APPROACH

A thoughtful process.
A practical outcome.

We take time to understand what is happening behind the numbers. Then we agree on the work that will make the next step clearer.

01 / DISCOVER

Start with the way
you work.

We ask about your business, the tools you use, and the parts of your process that create extra work. We want to understand what happens in an ordinary week—not just how a system was intended to work.

  • What needs attention now?
  • Which records or systems are involved?
  • What would a useful outcome look like?
02 / DEFINE

Make the scope
clear.

Before work begins, we agree on the included tasks, deliverables, responsibilities, price, and any dependencies. Historical cleanup, software subscriptions, and ongoing support are discussed separately when relevant.

Timing depends on the work involved and the availability of accurate records, system access, and decisions from your team. If a requirement changes, we discuss its effect on the scope.

03 / IMPLEMENT

Work through
the details.

We carry out the agreed bookkeeping, configuration, or integration work. Open questions are documented, and decisions that affect your records or workflows are brought back to the appropriate person.

For system changes, we agree on validation and rollout steps. That can include sample imports, balance checks, workflow tests, and a cutover plan appropriate to the project.

04 / HAND OVER

Leave you with
a usable process.

We review the deliverables with you, explain outstanding items, and document the agreed workflow. The handover should make it clear what has been done and what needs to happen next.

For ongoing bookkeeping, we establish a recurring process for records, questions, and reporting. For project work, any further support is agreed as a separate scope.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What can you help my business with?

We help small businesses organize their bookkeeping, set up financial software, and connect the systems they use to run their operations. An engagement can focus on one specific issue or combine these services into a coordinated project.

Do I need to change my existing software?

Not necessarily. We start by understanding the tools you already have, how your team uses them, and what is getting in the way. The right next step may be a better configuration or a more reliable workflow. A change of platform is considered only when it fits your requirements.

Can you help if my books are behind?

Yes. We can discuss a catch-up or cleanup project. We first review the periods involved, available bank and credit card statements, account balances, and unresolved transactions. That review helps define the work and separates historical cleanup from ongoing monthly bookkeeping.

How is the work priced?

Pricing depends on the agreed scope: transaction volume, the condition of your records, number of systems, and the complexity of any integration or migration. We discuss those details with you before preparing a scope and price. There is no one-size-fits-all package.

What happens on the first call?

We talk about your business, your current process, and what you want to improve. You do not need to share passwords or send financial documents for this conversation. If there is a fit, the next step is to agree on the information needed to scope the work.

Are you a software vendor or an independent service provider?

QB Services is the DBA of Simplyassist LLC, an independent service provider. We provide bookkeeping and systems services. Software subscriptions, vendor support, and third-party licensing are separate from our services unless an agreement expressly states otherwise.
